Joy District is the rare River North address that has three answers depending on the floor you choose. Sports parlor on one, dance floor on two, year-round rooftop above. Summer buyouts are filling the rooftop deck for groups of 40 to 200 through September.
The vibe.
112 W Hubbard sits at the corner of River North and "where everyone meets first." Inside, the Angel Club neon arch glows over the entry, the staircase splits the floors, and each level reads as its own room. The rooftop has been Joy's calling card since opening: glass walls, retractable cover for shoulder seasons, full bar, DJ corner, skyline behind the booths.
It's the venue people pick when half the group wants to dance and half wants to talk. You don't have to negotiate. Walk between floors.
What we book at Joy.
- Corporate buyouts: 40–200 guests, custom menu, branded signage at the entry. Rooftop or full-floor.
- Birthdays: 12–30, banquette section on the dance floor or a rooftop pod.
- Bachelorette weekends: rooftop bottle service Friday or Saturday, often paired with a Galeria or Hideaway second stop the same night.
- Holiday + summer concerts series: Joy runs DJ-led rooftop nights through warm-weather months. Walk-up after 10pm is steep, table-only after 11.
Why summer matters here.
The rooftop earns its keep from Memorial Day through Halloween. After that, the cover comes on and it's a year-round room — but the season is when Joy doubles as the most-photographed River North address. Anything you want to seed on Instagram, do it on the rooftop in July.
How Bizzy gets you in.
Buyouts at Joy go through their private events team and a list of approved partners. Bizzy is one of them. Tell us the date, the headcount, and the vibe (dance floor or rooftop), and we'll come back with a one-page proposal in 48 hours, contract two weeks before, and a host at the door the night-of.
Code BIZZY takes 10% off any table or buyout booking.
